Our History
Established in 1985 by Alan Farina, South Shore Ice Co., Inc. had humble beginnings in the basement of his parents' home. Alan's vision was to create a company dedicated to manufacturing and delivering top-quality ice products to the local community. Over the years, what started as a small operation expanded from the basement to the garage until finally settling at our current location at 89 East Fulton Avenue, Roosevelt, New York.
Driven by a commitment to excellence and a strong family ethos, South Shore Ice Co., Inc. quickly became a staple in the local market. Alan's family, including his brother Mitchell and cousin Mark Weinstein, who designed our iconic logo, played integral roles in the company's growth. With a dedicated team of employees, many of whom have been with us for over 25 years, we built a legacy of exceptional products and unparalleled customer service.
While we mourn the loss of our founder, Alan Farina, in 2023, his vision and values continue to guide us daily. Mitchell Farina, now serving as CEO, remains dedicated to upholding the traditions of quality and service that define South Shore Ice Co., Inc. We are proud to carry Alan's legacy and look forward to serving our community for many years to come.
